Benson is a small town located in Rutland County, Vermont with a population of 1056. It is located on the border of New York and Vermont. The town has a total area of 45.5 square miles, of which 44 square miles is land and 1.5 square miles is water. Nearby municipalities are Orwell, Hubbardton, and West Haven.
