Lake Bomoseen is a freshwater lake located in the towns of Castleton and Hubbardton in Rutland County, Vermont. It is the largest lake with a surface area of 2400 acres. The lake nestles in a valley surrounded by some of the lower hills on the western side. There are many public beaches, marinas, and public boat launches on the lake. Approximately 1000 homes are located around the lake. In addition, restaurants and other commercial facilities are also available. Bomoseen State Park on the west shore makes it a perfect summer resort.
